Cult Classics Flicks are back at The Crown Harriston! We show one of our favourite Cult Classics every first Saturday of the month. Our movie season starts with Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959) on Saturday, April 6th, at 8 pm. Admission is $10.00.

Hailed as the "Best Worst movie ever made," Ed Wood's cult classic from 1959 is one of the most hilariously entertaining movies you'll ever see. It stars Bela Lugosi and Vampira, among others.

The movie tells the story of an old man (Bela Lugosi) who mourns the loss of his wife (Vampira) and dies the next day. However, space soldier Eros and his mate Tanna use an electric device to resurrect them, along with the strong Inspector Clay, who was murdered by the couple. Their plan is not to conquer Earth but to stop humankind from developing the powerful bomb "Solaranite," which would threaten the universe. After eight failed attempts, Plan 9 is their scheme to reanimate Earth's dead to build a zombie army and stop Earthlings from destroying the universe.

When the population of Hollywood and Washington DC sees flying saucers in the sky, a plan is made to try to stop the aliens. With string-powered flying saucers, twisted alien logic, and 'priceless' special effects, this movie is destined for success - or not!
